April 16 -18 2010 sees the ninth annual York Open Studios weekend, when many of York’s best creative practitioners open their doors and invite the public to enter their working world. This year local artist, Jerry Scott will be exhibiting a selection of his work at The Judges Lodgings Hotel.

Opening times: Friday 16th 6pm-9pm; Saturday 17th 10am-6pm; Sunday 18th 11am-5pm.

May Beer Festival
This year running concurrently with York Races, our May Beer Festival will showcase a large selection of excellent real ales and ciders. Served from our purpose built temporary bar for optimum taste and condition, the beer and cider will flow from 12 noon into the evening and is a must for any real ale or cider fan.

BUBBLE CAR CONVENTION

Our second beer festival, bigger and better than the first was a fantastic weekend, with many enjoying a variety of local ales.

YORK OPEN STUDIOS - JERRY SCOTT
Jerry Scott exhibited his monoprints and paintings upstairs in the reception areas of the hotel as part of the York Open Studios weekend. This was a fantastic event and over 500 people came through the doors over the weekend! We are already looking forward to the possiblities of next year's Open Studio!

 This was our very first beer festival and proved to be a resounding hit. A heart felt thanks is due to everyone who helped on the weekend!
After a minor hiccup at the start, with 'non-return valve' issues (!), the temporary bar worked well and the beer flowed steadily throughout the weekend and many of you enjoyed a journey through the many real ales on offer!
